The management of the General Hospital Kabba, Kogi State has said the owner of a beer parlour, Mrs Omofemi Oyehunwa and ten other victims were rushed to the hospital for treatment shortly after an explosion.

The head of the X-Ray unit of the hospital, Dr Ibrahim Sule, revealed this to journalists on Monday evening in Kabba.

Sule added that other victims had received medication and had been discharged, but Mrs Oyehunwa remained in the hospital for further tests.

He said, “We have to take her into the X-Ray unit for her to undertake a test on her buttocks, to be sure there is no foreign object in her body.

“She is out of the X-Ray unit, walking by herself, which shows that she’s fast recovering from the injury she sustained on her buttocks.”

Meanwhile, the Chairman of Kabba/Bunu Local Government, Hon. Moses Olorunleke has ordered that all beer parlours in Kabba should be closed by 7 pm.

He also directed commercial motorcycle operators to suspend their activities by 10 pm, saying whoever goes against this directive would be made to face the law.
