Mum pressurising me to get married, says BBNaija’s Vee

Former housemate of the Big Brother Naija reality TV show, Victoria Adeyele, has said she is under pressure from her mother to get married.

Vee, as she is popularly called opened up on her frustration via a Twitter post recently.

She said her mother is fond of reminding her of her age and how she was already married with a child when she was like her.

The musician also said the “pressure is getting worse”.

The reality star enjoined mothers to exercise patience with their female children with respect to marriage-related matters.

“My mum never fails to tell me that at my age, she was married with a child. Can someone tell our Nigerian mothers that nothing dey streets currently? The pressure is truly getting worser,” she wrote.

Her post comes a few weeks after she disclosed she is ready to love again — following her split from Neo, her colleague on BBNaija.

During their stint on the show, the pair were in the news over their romantic relationship.

A few months after the show ended, rumours, however, swirled that the relationship had hit the rocks.

The duo initially kept mum on the matter.

But in February, Vee finally confirmed that she is no longer in a relationship with Neo.
