PGF denies alleged removal of  Hope Uzodimna as chairman

The Progressive Governors’ Forum has denied media reports that Hope Uzodimma was removed as chairman of the forum.

In a statement by the forum’s Director-General, Folorunso Aluko, the PGF described the reports as “false and misleading.”

According to him, no meeting was held where such a decision was taken.

He added that that the PGF secretariat has no record of any resolution removing Uzodimma from office.

“For the avoidance of doubt, the report is entirely false, baseless and without an iota of truth,” Aluko stated.

He reaffirmed that Uzodimma remains the substantive chairman of the forum and stressed that the group remains united and focused on its responsibilities.

The forum also urged members of the public, party supporters, and the media to disregard the reports in their entirety.
