Police nab man for raping farmer on her farm

A man, Miracle Onwe, from Izzhiangbo in Ohaukwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State has been arrested by the police for allegedly raping a woman on her farm.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Chris Anyanwu, also tagged Onwe a serial rapist while parading the suspect in Abakaliki, the state capital.

Anyanwu explained that Onwe sneaked on the victim from behind while she was engrossed in the work she was doing on the farm.

He added, “He pushed down the victim and forcibly had carnal knowledge of her.

“Immediately after the act, Onwe robbed the victim of her Infinix Smart 5 phone valued at M45 and fled the area.”

However, Onwe denied being a serial rapist, adding, “I usually don’t know what came over me. I have raped only two people in Aboffia community.”
