Last Thursday, Colombian singer Shakira announced ‘Dai Dai’ as the official theme song for the three-nation World Cup. The song features Grammy-winning Nigerian artiste Burna Boy.
Shakira accompanied the post with a snippet of her performance with choreographers at Brazil’s iconic Maracanã Stadium.
‘Dai Dai’ is about resilience and inner strength. It is a catchy reggaetón-tinged Afrobeats song that blends both Shakira and Burna Boy’s musical styles.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup kicks off on June 11, 2026, with the opening match at the Estadio Azteca (Mexico City Stadium) in Mexico City.
