Sokoto deputy governor quits PDP hours to APC rally
The Deputy Governor of Sokoto State, Manir Dan Iya, has resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party.
The development is coming few hours to the presidential rally of the All Progressives Congress in Sokoto state.
The deputy governor, in a letter dated February 8, 2023 and addressed to his Ward Chairman in Kware, Kware Local Government Area, said he leaving the party with immediate effect.
The letter was titled, “Letter of Withdrawal from the Peoples Democratic Party.”
It reads party, “I write to notify you of the withdrawal of my membership from the Peoples Democratic P’arty with effect from 8th February 2023.
“I appreciate the opportunities given to me, which made me serve in various capacities under the PDP.
“Accept my best regards.”
