Leadership of the organised labour, including the Nigeria Labour Congress and the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria have met with President Bola Tinubu at the Aso Rock Villa, Abuja.

The meeting came few hours after the two bodies staged a nationwide protest against economic hardship, prompted by fuel subsidy removal.

Recall that the Presidential Steering Committee on fuel subsidy removal palliatives met on Tuesday, but failed to reach truce, hence, the Wednesday “anti-poor policy” national protest.

At the meeting were the NNPCL GMD, Mele Kyari, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State and ministerial-nominee, Mr. Dele Alake.
Members of the NLC, TUC and Civil Society Organisations on Wednesday, started a nationwide protest against the removal of fuel subsidy payment by the Federal Government.
