Traffic robbers nabbed by policemen in Lagos

The Lagos State Police Command says men of the Ketu Police Division have arrested three members of a traffic robbery gang.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, said the men were notorious for dispossessing motorists of their belongings at Ile-Iwe/Kosofe, Ikorodu Road, in the Ketu area of the state.

He named the suspects as Segun Olaiya (20 years), Ayinde Waris (19) and Bashiru Mohammed (28), explaining that they were arrested by policemen on covert operation on Monday around 7pm while attacking some motorists in the area.

He added, “The suspects are currently assisting the police in an ongoing investigation to arrest other members of their gang. The suspects would be arraigned at the conclusion of investigation.

“The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alabi, has directed that efforts be sustained across the state towards ensuring that all miscreants are apprehended and dealt with in accordance with the law.”
