Peter Obi has been declared the presidential flag bearer of the Labour Party.
The declaration was made in Asaba, the Delta State capital, where the party held its presidential primaries on Monday.
This followed the decision of Obi’s major challenger, Prof. Pat Utomi, to step down for him.
Utomi said the time had come to change the narrative in the country.
He added that Obi had the capacity to bring the needed change, saying he would work to bring other progressives  into the Labour Party
