Wizkid’s manager dissociates singer from rumoured Peter Obi concert
The Manager of Wizkid, Sunday Are, has denied that the singer is participating in a rumoured Peter Obi concert.
The presidential election is scheduled to hold on February 25.
Posters claiming Wizkid will be performing at a campaign concert in Abuja have been circulating on social media.
The concert tagged ‘2023 ObiDatti Showdown Music Concert’ is advertised for February, 18, at the Eagle Square.
Other artistes listed as performers at the event include Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage, 2Baba, and Seun Kuti.
Reacting to the development, Are threatened legal action against those using the singer to promote Peter Obi.
“This is to inform the general public that this event is a scam, Wizkid and his management know nothing about this event and accordingly, he will not perform at the said event as claimed.
“So please beware of this poster and information put out from its organizers as Wizkid and his management will not be liable for any damages.
“Appropriate legal action is currently being explored against the persons responsible for creating and disseminating this false information,” the manager said.
