11 die in Bauchi auto crash

No fewer than 11 persons have been confirmed dead on Alkaleri-Gombe Highway, Bauchi State.

The crash, which occurred on Saturday evening, involved a commercial bus and a truck.

Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Yusuf Abdullahi, in a statement added that 10 persons were injured.

He blamed the crash on dangerous driving, adding that nine persons died on the spot while two passed away later in hospital.

“The victims were taken to the General Hospital in Alkaleri for confirmation of death and treatment of the injured,” the statement said.
