FUTO, IMSU student cults clash, one dies, others injured

Students at the Federal University of Technology Owerri and their counterparts from Imo State University clashed on Friday.

The bloody attack which is being reported as cult-related, left a member of FUTO community dead with several others injured.

The Friday incident reportedly happened after students from Imo State University burst into the FUTO campus in a motorcycle convoy.

Their deadly visit seemed to have been anticipated as some FUTO students immediately confronted the alleged intruders.

During the confrontation, the FUTO Man O War commander was fatally stabbed in the neck by one of the IMSU students, resulting in his immediate death.

A source said, “The attack, death and injuries have left us (FUTO community) in mourning and shock.”
