Kano four-year-old falls into well, dies

A four-year-old girl, Amina Garba, has drowned in a well in the Ungoggo Local Government Asrea of the state.

The Public Relations Officer of the Kano State Fire Service confirmed that Garba drowned in a well in the Kofar Waika area of the LGA.

The PRO, Saminu Abdullahi, added that the Kofar Nassarawa Fire Service received a distress call around 2.05pm, from one Alkasim Ibrahim on Monday.

Abdullahi said, “The team immediately swung into action retrieved the body of the young girl who was later confirmed dead by health officials.

“The remains of Amina had been handed over to the Ward Head of Kofar Waika, Alhaji Isma’ila Yusuf.”
