Gumel LGA chairman in Jigawa, Lawan Ya’u is dead

The Chairman of the Gumel Local Government Area in Jigawa State, Lawan Ya’u, is dead.

Ya’u’s death his death was confirmed to PUNCH on Saturday evening by the Jigawa State APC Chairman, Aminu Sani Gumel.

The deceased was a prominent figure in the local government, and his death on Saturday sent shockwaves throughout the community.

Yau was elected last year May as the executive chairman of the local government area under the platform of the ruling All Progressive Congress in the state.
