ABSU lecturer who proposed to student on Valentine’s Day announces wedding date

A lecturer at Abia State University, Anucha Wisdom, who went viral for proposing to a female student during Valentine’s Day, has announced their wedding date.

Anucha became a sensation last month after going on his knees to ask for Grace’s hand in marriage in the presence of other students in the class.

The student is said to be in the department of Optometry.

In a recent post on Facebook, the lecturer shared a copy of their wedding invitation scheduled for April 6, 2024.

Anucha said the “wedding invite is open to all” after seeking approval from the couple’s parents.

He also requested prayers and support from the public ahead of the ceremony.

The lecturer accompanied the post with picture of himself and his fiancée clad in their customised outfits while holding each other’s hands.

“With the consent of our parents, We, Grace and Wisdom with every sense of humility, respect and responsibility, most humbly wish to invite you as a SPECIAL GUEST as “We” walk down the aisle,” he wrote.

“Date; Saturday 6th April 2024. Venue: St. Paul’s Ang. Church Umuocham.

“Reception: Ngwa High School Aba. Please kindly treat this as an official invite.

“We covet your prayers as we embark on this journey for life.”
