Dino Melaye wins Kogi State PDP governorship ticket

A former representative of  Kogi West in the Senator, Dino Melaye, has won the Peoples Democratic Party governorship ticket in Kogi State.

Dino polled 313 votes to defeat his challengers; former Deputy Governor of the state, Yomi Awoniyi, former senator Attai Aidoko, Kebiru Usman and Abdullahi Haruna for the ticket.

The former lawmaker will be up against Usman Ododo, the flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress for the state governorship election scheduled to take place on November 11.
