Tega Dominic, a former Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) housemate, has denied allegations that she had a sexual relationship with Frank Edoho, the TV host.

The denial follows claims made by Sandra Onyenuchenuya, Edoho’s estranged wife, that he was involved in affairs with several celebrities.

In a statement issued on Friday, Tega rejected the allegations, insisting that there was never an affair between her and Edoho.

She also said she has never spent private time with him, describing the TV personality as only a friend whom she met on social media through mutual familiarity.

“I honestly did not want to speak on this because I have spent a long time trying to stay away from unnecessary drama, but at this point, my silence is no longer helping,” the statement reads.

“I have absolutely no sexual or emotional relationship with Frank Edoho.

“Frank is a great guy and a very good friend of mine. We started talking around mid-last year after he sent birthday wishes to my mum.

“Like many people in the industry, we already knew each other through social media and mutual familiarity. He is also my kingsman. There was never anything inappropriate between Us.

“The first and only time I hung out with Frank was with my manager, Paul Ukonu, present. I have absolutely nothing to hide.

“And honestly, if I ever had anything to do with Frank romantically, I would say it with my full chest.

“He was separated at the time, and I am also separated. If you know me, you know I have never been the type to hide or sneak around. I say things exactly as they are.”

Tega described Sandra’s claims as “upsetting”, saying they could jeopardise her relationships with friends, family, and the brands she works with. She also vowed to take legal action.

“I have worked too hard to build myself and my brand step by step to allow false accusations stain my name like this. I owe it to my family, friends, supporters, and the reputable brands I work with to protect my reputation,” she added.

“I believe it is important for evidence to be provided because I will not let this slide. My name cannot be dragged carelessly into false narratives.

“This has honestly been very upsetting for me, but moving forward, my lawyers will handle the matter appropriately. There will be consequences.”

Edoho was previously married to broadcaster Katherine Obiang, with whom he shares three children. Their marriage ended in 2010 after seven years together.

In 2013, the former host of ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire’ (WWTBAM) married Sandra. The pair welcomed their first child in 2014 and a second child in 2016.

Last year, Edoho announced that his second marriage had ended in December 2022 — an experience he described as “devastating”.

On Tuesday, Edoho also said he was gradually moving on from the failed marriage.

The controversy surrounding Edoho’s troubled marriage reignited after the broadcaster declared that he would never commit to just one woman again.

Rumours had surfaced alleging that Sandra had cheated on Edoho with a Nigerian singer, prompting a response from the TV host’s estranged wife.

Earlier, Amaka Okeke, another woman accused by Sandra of having an affair with Edoho, threatened to file a lawsuit.
