Panic as terrorists reportedly raid Zuma rock military checkpoint

Some soldiers were reportedly attacked when Boko Haram terrorists raided a military checkpoint around Zuma rock on Thursday night.

Zuma rock is located immediately west of Nigeria’s capital Abuja, along the main road from Abuja to Kaduna off Madala, and is sometimes referred to as the ‘Gateway’ to Abuja from Suleja.

The level of casualty is unknown as of the time of filing this report.

Police authorities have kept mum over the attack that sent panic to residents of Zuba and Madala outskirts of Abuja.

The terrorists were said to have gained entry to the area through the back of the rock to attack military operatives on duty.

Theeditorial.ng gathered that the attack caused heavy gridlock in the area on Thursday night.
