Tinubu picks ex-Borno gov, Shettima as running mate

Barring any last minute change, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, may have decided on his choice of running mate.

A source in the Tinubu Campaign Organisation who preferred to be anonymous confirmed this to the News Agency of Nigeria on Sunday in Abuja.

The source said Tinubu would make the name of the candidate public this week.

Vanguard also reported that Tinubu has confirmed Senator Kashim Shettima as his running mate.

Recall that Kabiru Masari was named “placeholder” of the running mate slot until Tinubu and his party decide who will be the vice-presidential candidate.
