We must work as one to support Mr Governor – Commissioner

The Commissioner in charge of the Ministry of Youth and Social Development, Mr Mobolaji Ogunlende, has urged the staff of the ministry to work as a team him,

He added, “The task of developing the youth in Lagos State is not one that an individual can accomplish. Let’s work together as team to fulfill the mandate of this Ministry which involves giving succor to the vulnerable.”

The Commissioner said this during his first meeting with the management staff of the ministry after being sworn in as the new helmsman.

Ogunlende said, “I need the support of everyone to be able to support Mr Governor, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu in actualizing the T.H.E.M.E.S Agenda. As it concerns this ministry, the addition of Youth Development places more responsibility on us.”

He added that some of the things that he would take into cognisance in discharging his duties would be “freedom of speech, protocol, due process and open door policy.”

In her remark, Permanent Secretary, Mrs Toyin Oke-Osanyintolu, assured the Commissioner of the full support of the staff.

Expressing the readiness of the staff mambers, Oke-Osanyintolu said, “We are not only delighted to have you in our midst, I guarantee you 100 per cent support of every member of staff of the Ministry.”
