Man bites off wife’s ear during fight in Lagos

A 47-year old man, Ola Ade, has been arraigned before Ogba Magistrates’ Court, Lagos, for allegedly biting off his wife’s ear.

The police in Lagos State said Ade bit off his wife’s ear during a fight in their house.

The prosecutor, Inspector Akinleye Funmilola, explained that the accused engaged his wife, Kathryna, in a fight over a domestic issue.

The prosecutor said, “It took the intervention of neighbours to rescue the woman after he bit off her ear.”

In his statement to the police, the accused said he resorted to biting off his wife’s ear because she had done the same to him.

The magistrate, Mrs O. O. Hughes, granted Ade bail in the sum of N100,000.
