Rivers Accord Party candidate for March 18 Assembly poll kidnapped

The Accord Party candidate for the Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni  Constituency 2 in the Rivers State House of Assembly for the March 18 election, Chukwudi Ogbonna, has been abducted by gunmen.

The politician was attacked by the gunmen as he was driving home in Rumuigbo, near Port Harcourt on Monday night.

The gunmen waylaid him and whisked him away with in car.

Ogbonna’s cousin, Ifeaka Nwakiri, confirmed the incident on Tuesday, adding, “They took him in his Mercedes car. We have reported the matter at the Kala Police Sation.”
