Nine passengers abducted in Rivers

A commercial bus with nine passengers has been hijacked by gunmen at the Emuoha area of the East-West Road in Rivers State.

Residents of the area said the nine passengers were kidnapped on Wednesday night.

One of them Prince Chukwu, who spoke to journalists said the gunmen stopped the bus and marched the driver and the passengers into the bush.

He said, “When the policemen at Elibrada junctiom arrive at the scene, the boys have left with their victims into the bush. Even the policemen at Rumuji ran away”.
